There’s brand new information about a new smartphone by HTC called the DLXPLUS that has been mentioned in a leaked HTC OTA document. But we wonder if it’s something entirely new that the company has been working on or just a CDMA/LTE version of the HTC One or even the Droid DNA 2 for Verizon.
We’re speculating it’s for Verizon since that remains to be the only U.S. carrier to not offer the HTC flagship smartphone yet. Maybe the DLXPLUS is the HTC One variant to be offered through the carrier then. Given that the phone has garnered a lot of positive attention, we can’t imagine why Verizon wouldn’t want a piece of the action.
There’s also a possibility that the DLXPLUS could in fact be the HTC Droid DNA 2 smartphone too. The Droid DNA, also known as the HTC Butterfly, was codenamed HTC DLX. So it’s possible that its successor could have the codename DLXPLUS. But we’ll be sure to bring you more on this as soon as we find out.
